Atlas PAC endorses Janet Nguyen for Assembly
Orange County, CA – – Orange County based Atlas PAC has endorsed former Senator Janet Nguyen for the Assembly in the 72nd District.
“Janet Nguyen has a sterling pro-business record in the Legislature, while the incumbent Tyler Diep has been a huge disappointment to the business community,” said Altas PAC President Lee Lowrey.
Atlas PAC was founded in 2005 by a group of experienced business professionals whose involvement in the political process spanned over many years. The Founders of Atlas PAC realized that the overreach of government, as well as many elected and appointed politicians, infringed upon the private sector to such an extreme degree that business leaders must bring the fight to the politicians within the political arena.
“I am very grateful to Atlas PAC for this early endorsement. California’s business community has been under attack from Sacramento and I am committed to fighting for our job creators and small businesses that are the backbone of our local economy,” said Nguyen.
Janet Nguyen entered the race for the Assembly at the urging of numerous local businesses and Republican leaders who saw that incumbent Tyler Diep had abandoned his party and principles. Diep was the only Republican in the Legislature to vote for and lobby in support of the infamous anti-business bill AB 5 and was caught on camera celebrating the bill’s passage with local Democrat candidates. AB 5 was one of 15 key votes that Diep gave to labor union lobbyists in 2019.
The 72nd Assembly District is 100% within the Senate District that Senator Janet Nguyen represented. The 72nd Assembly District includes the Cities of Fountain Valley, Westminster, Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, unincorporated cities of Rossmoor and Midway City and portions of Huntington Beach and Garden Grove.
