GARDEN GROVE, CA – – Today former Senator Janet Nguyen announced receiving the endorsement the California Association of Highway Patrolmen (CAHP) in her campaign for the 72nd Assembly District.
Formed in 1920, CAHP represents approximately 15,000 active and retired men and women of the California Highway Patrol making them one of the largest law enforcement associations in California.
“There is no question the world has changed dramatically in 2020 and perhaps no single group has faced more challenges than law enforcement,” said Janet Nguyen. “I recognize the work the officers of the California Highway Patrol do on behalf of Californians and I’m proud to work with them as they navigate the challenges emerging due to COVID-19 and increased pressure to force law enforcement to do more with less.”
Whether it has been her time as a Garden Grove City Council Member, Orange County Supervisor or State Senator Janet Nguyen has always had a strong record of working with men and women who wear the badge to protect our children and families and that is why she is the choice of law enforcement across the state for the 72nd Assembly District. Just recently Janet Nguyen was endorsed by the California Coalition of Law Enforcement Association.
As top vote-getter in California’s March Primary Election, Janet Nguyen is in a strong position to win the 72nd Assembly District in the General Election on November 3rd. The 72nd District is home to all or portions of the cities of Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Los Alamitos, Midway City, Rossmoor, Seal Beach and Westminster.
